Ecology and conservation of PARNA - MG

Ecology and conservation of PARNA Caves of Peruaçu (Minas Gerais).

In order to propose a general management plan for the tourist exploitation of PARNA Caves of Peruaçu, speleologic studies were conducted, among which included the  characterization of biospeleological heritage of some caves in the area. This project aimed specifically at some of the  PARNA Caves of Peruaçu through biospeleological parameters, and to evaluate the actual or potential environmental impacts occurring in the caves and their surroundings. Furthermore, we proposed a zoning that defined the use modes of some of the cavities in the area (tourist, technical or strictly scientific use).
